Bye Bye Bottle!

So a couple of months ago we got rid of the bottles. Spencer thought it would be a good idea to snip the top of it off like we did with Peyton's pacifier when he was a baby/toddler. Look at her face after watching her own father cut the top of her beloved bottle off. Lincoln's face also explains how they felt after witnessing the unthinkable! That didn't work...she just asked for another one. So then I went with my first instinct and that was to just go cold turkey and throw them all away. In the mornings she would wake up and want a bottle with milk and watch her "show" while she woke up a little. So one morning she woke up and I told her no more bottles okay...lets throw them in the trash. I walked her to the trash and we had a few words...said goodbye. She started to cry and I hugged her. Then that day she cried for a few minutes at nap time and that night at bedtime and then never asked for it again. She sometimes asks for it out of habit then corrects herself and says "oh, bottle trash". It went way better than I expected! Wish I would have done it a long time ago.
