This was our fourth year in a row to go to Lake Powell on our September Bike Patrol trip. We had a great time with a minor set back with my spinal infection...ha ha. Seriously I did have fun even though I was in a ton of pain from my back. We didn't know what it was yet but I had to take it super easy. It hurt like heck on the boat and I couldn't do any knee boarding or anything but I did have fun when we were in the jacuzzi at the hotel and when we went to dinner at night. It was the day after we came back that I found out about the infection. On the third day of the trip I stayed in the hotel room while everyone headed to the lake. It was a bummer but I am hoping next year will be a little better now that my back is healed!
Shay and Dave surprised Spence with a cake on one of the nights to congratulate him for making Sergeant. So nice!
It was a little rainy on the second day. I don't think it put to much of a damper on the trip though.
We spent several hours a night hanging in the jacuzzi. It felt great on my back. We talked and told stories and laughed...a lot! Love these people! They are great friends!
